The Dally M awards might not go ahead this year but that hasn't stopped us from naming our Team of the Year!
We've polled the fans, crunched the numbers and then ignored it all to name the best players in each position for the 2017 season.
Who makes the side and who wins the Dally M Medal in 2017?
Second Row
Winner: Matt Gillett
This was THE shock of the reader poll for mine, as I thought Gillett was a lock to walk this in. The Broncos, Maroons and Kangaroos superstar has become one of the game's two best second rowers (the other being Boyd Cordner) and produced possibly his best season to date. Over 37 tackles and 94 metres per game show he is not afraid to put in the hard work, while his six tries, three try assists and six line breaks prove he is more than just a by-the-numbers forward.
Angus Crichton had a wow of a season, and wouldn't look out of place in the rep arena in the not too distant future. He made over 120 metres and 30 tackles per game, scored seven tries, 10 line breaks and laid off a try assist. There really is no ceiling on this kid's talents. A very popular player, as shown by the poll result, and a player who is capable of flashy, try scoring plays, but for mine, he hasn't usurped Gillett just yet.
Second rower of the year? @zerotackle
