Raiders Hudson Young is facing a massive seven-match ban after being charged with an alleged eye gauge by the NRL's match review committee.
Young committed the act to Bulldog Aiden Tolman in the 34th minute of Canberra's 12-10 win on Saturday night.
He was charged with grade-three dangerous contact and placed on report by referee Grant Atkins during the game.
Young will receive a five-game ban if he submits an early guilty plea but could miss seven matches if he unsuccessfully challenges at the judiciary due to prior offences.
Asked about the incident post-match Raiders coach Ricky Stuart said: "I haven't seen it again. I asked Hudson what it was and he put his hands on his face, didn't he?"
Additionally, Manly forward Corey Waddell has been hit with a three-game ban for an incident with Penrith's Liam Martin in Thursday night's clash.
Waddell could have his suspension downgraded to two games if he submits an early guilty plea, but risks adding an extra game if he unsuccessfully challenges.
