Dallin Watene-Zelezniak's brother MalakaiĀ is confident that he will remain in Penrith.

Recent reports linked the Kiwis captain to Penrith's western Sydney rivals Parramatta, who could be looking to make list changes before June 30.

Contracted at the Panthers until the end of 2020, the 23-year old had not been able to lock down a spot at his preferred fullback.

However, brother Malakai was taken back by rumblings that he could be on his way out of Penrith.

"One hundred per cent I would be shocked," Malakai told the Sydney Herald.

"I called him straight away [when reports emerged] and he said, 'I don't know anything about it as well'. He'll speak to his manager in the next day or two. He's happy here. He's contracted for another two years. Dal and I love playing together, training together and he loves it here at the club.

"We carpool every day to training as he lives 30 seconds up the road and I came back to play with Dal here at Panthers. It's never been better getting to play with your brother. Our relationship has become a lot stronger and we have a tighter bond."

The Panthers host the Warriors this Friday night at Panthers Stadium.
