Scans have revealed Trent Merrin will be sidelined as a result of a knee injury suffered against the Warriors in Auckland.
Merrin suffered a high-grade medial collateral ligament tear, which does not require surgery, but will see the Panthers forward miss six to eight weeks of the competition.
Panthers coach Anthony Griffin will name Merrin's replacement when the 21-man squad to face Gold Coast Titans is named on Tuesday afternoon.
