Trent Barrett extends as Sea Eagles head coach

The Manly Sea Eagles have announced the club has extended the contract of Head Coach Trent Barrett for a further three years until the end of season 2020.

Chairman Scott Penn said the Board was pleased with the positive results Trent has achieved in his two years with our Club and were delighted to have secured him until the end of the 2020 NRL Season.

“Trent has developed a very positive performance focused culture amongst the team and football operations staff. His contract extension reflects the high regard we have for his coaching ability, and the stability the extension provides the club,’’ Penn said

“The club and Trent can now look forward to a positive future with a focus on ensuring a great 2018 season.”

Barrett said he was very pleased to commit the next three years to the Sea Eagles.

“We have a very talented and liked minded playing group who I really enjoy coaching. They enjoy playing with, and for each other, and we have all the ingredients for continued success at the Sea Eagles,’’ Barrett said.

“I really appreciate the support I’ve received from the players, coaches and support staff and also the Board, management, and our Members, fans, partners and the community. I’m now focused on preparing the team for the 2018 season.”
