The Toronto Wolfpack have officially announced the signing of Josh McCrone and Dave Taylor for the 2018 season.

The capture of former Origin and Australian forward Taylor is seen as a massive coup for the club as it strives to go one step further next season and get promoted to the Super League in 2019.

The Toronto Wolfpack is Canada's first professional Rugby team & the world's first transatlantic major professional sports team playing in the RLF in the UK.

"I’m excited about the challenge of joining the Wolfpack," said Taylor on the club website.

"There’s clearly some crazy good things happening with rugby league in Toronto & I can’t wait to get there.

"I’m pretty sure they’ll like my style of play & hopefully it will excite Canada!”

30-year-old McCrone has made more than 150 appearances in the NRL, playing for the Raiders and Dragons in that time.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to be part of the first Trans-Atlantic pro sports team and our journey to the Super League," McCrone said.

"The chance to build on the great foundations laid this year and run out at the Den excites me. I can’t wait to run with the Pack.”

Taylor and McCrone will be joined by former North Queensland Cowboys prop Ashton Sims in 2018, who also signed with the Toronto based club this week.
