For the purpose of this list, we've only considered players who are known primarily as a five-eighth.
Of course, there is big cross-over potential with halfbacks, however, we've stuck with players most recently recognised in the six jersey.

2. Luke Keary
The Roosters pivot has been one of the game's premier players in recent times, however, I believe he went to yet another level in 2020 following the retirement of Cooper Cronk. This Roosters outfit is his side now.
In 2020, with a rookie halfback(s) he managed 10 tries, 18 try assists, 13 line break assists, 17 forced dropouts, over 175 kicking metres per game, just under 85 metres run per game and tackled at over 85%.
Keary rightfully earned his spot in Origin and can consider himself unlucky not to have kept his spot for Game Two. He'll be back. He faces a tricky 2021 with yet another halves partner yet looks every bit ready to deliver once again.
Call me bias but swap Wighton and Keary around and your pretty spot on.
Youโre biased. Wighton is still mostly only going to damage opposition teams , if they donโt tackle well. As heโs mostly just a running 5/8th.
