Every season there are a couple of games that stick around in the minds of rugby league fans for years after the final whistle is blown and season 2019 will be no different.

This year will again feature games of this calibre after an eventful off season that has created some exciting rivalries and matchups.

Long standing rivalries will also be on show all season long, as well as some top tier games that could have huge effects on how the top 4 and top 8 will shape up at seasons end.

Here is a list of five games that have the potential to be absolute crackers that we may remember for years to come.

3. Brisbane Broncos vs. South Sydney Rabbitohs - Round 8 (ANZ Stadium)

The Wayne Bennett and Anthony Seibold rivalry will be a major talking point all season and Round 8 will be the first time the coaches who swapped teams this off season will get to face off. Both clubs will go into the game knowing how much this game means to their respective coaches and also how important it may be at the end of the season with top 4 sides on the line. The Broncos and Rabbitohs will also play in Round 23.

  1. SJ vs warriors on a cold Friday night in Auckland, looking forward to bully introducing him to the turf and Blair niggling him

  2. How is the Broncos v Cowboys game just an honourable mention? Call me bias but they are consistently among the most enthralling games of the year
