Another day, another player testing the market come November 1st.

For league fans, player movement speculation largely gets us through the off-season.

Today, we are here to discuss the future of Sharks and Kiwi star Ronaldo Mulitalo.

The try scoring winger for the Sharks has emerged as not only an elite winger but also a massive personality. He is the kind of signing that can send a message and quickly shift an edge.

With stories emerging that he is willing to test his market value come November 1, we look at FIVE potential landing spots for Ronaldo Mulitalo:

Cronulla Sharks

As always, we start with the boring option. Right now, there is every chance Mulitalo stays in black, white and blue and is just looking for a bump in salary.

Mulitalo just feels like a Shark for life. Every time he scores he thumps the badge and yells out to the crowd. I suppose he could do that while wearing any jersey, but he just feels a Shark lifer.

He played in the Sharks SG ball side and went through Flegg and NSW Cup before becoming one of the competition's elite wingers in the top grade.

Those who don't know his off field goings on, Ronaldo is super involved in the local community and is almost a complete opposite to the "pest" we see on field.

Mulitalo is well within his rights to ask to be paid market value. That said, with Sam Stonestreet nipping at the heels of a regular First Grade spot, it all comes down to what the Sharks are willing to pay.

As a Sharks fan and a huge fan of the freakish winger, I would be broken if Mulitalo was to run out for another side in 2026. If his wage demands are within reason, there's no reason he can't remain a Shark for a long, long time to come.

Brisbane Broncos

Prior to shifting to the Shire and playing for the Sharks, Mulitalo was based in Ipswich.

Only farcical scenes robbed him of a Queensland Origin debut. Although he presents New Zealand with extreme pride, you have to believe the QLD blood is still there somewhere.

The Broncos are under new management and are looking for a culture shift. With Selwynn Cobbo's future seemingly laying far north of Brisbane and Corey Oates retiring, there is very much a spot open in that Broncos backline.

I don't expect Mulitalo to make a quick decision so Michael Maguire may be afforded the luxury of seeing how things go in the early rounds.

If they don't go to plan, a big move for Ronaldo is not impossible. In fact, I'd say it's very much on.

Mulitalo can do things that most other wings cannot. He is special. The Broncos sure lacked special in 2024. Although I expect them to bounce back under Madge in 2025, I'd be shocked if Ronaldo's name is not in discussions at some point re a potential move.

New Zealand Warriors

Born and raised in Auckland, I'm sure the chance to bring Ronaldo home would work in the Warriors favour.

We all saw how proud Mulitalo was to represent the Kiwis in last year's Pacific Nations Tournament. Never one to hide his emotions, Mulitalo sure let his Kangaroos counterparts know what the score was in the Final - a final in which Ronaldo stared.

The Warriors stuttered, big time, in 2024. 2025 is a new year but I have no doubt they'll be looking to add attacking prowess to ensure they return to the Warriors of 2023.

Mulitalo has 71 tries in his 92 NRL appearances for the Sharks. The guy can find the try line. An edge of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Ronaldo Mulitalo certainly has the rugby league fan inside of me humming with excitement.

Marcello Montoya has returned to the Bulldogs and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak's contract ends at the end of 2025, when he'll be 30.

There's no shortage of talent coming through the system across the Tasman but you can't tell me Mulitalo wouldn't immediately improve that Warriors backline.

St George Illawarra Dragons

The Dragons have added Valentine Holmes and Damian Cook, while they look favourites to sign Clint Gutherson.

That would be a fair recruitment drive, but after losing Zac Lomax, their wing stocks are thin. Mulitalo shifting across the Shire would be an absolute monster signing.

Not only would he become their strike weapon on the wing but it would land a hammer blow to the Sharks. The rivalry has skewed black, white and blue for a long time. This would hurt though.

Shane Flanagan loves players with big personalities. He recruited Andrew Fifita and Michael Ennis. Took them to a Premiership.

He is one coach who would not be scared off by Mulitalo's game day antics. If anything, he'd encourage them and play into the passion. The money is there. It has to be! Especially with Ben Hunt seemingly shifting clubs.

I know wingers shouldn't be the number one priority for teams in a complete rebuild, but Mulitalo shapes as the perfect signing all the same.

North Queensland Cowboys

In terms of storylines, there is probably none better than Ronaldo replacing his old sparring partner Kyle Feldt at the Cowboys.

I know, they play on different sides and there'd be a year in between but think of the romance.

As mentioned prior, Mulitalo has history in the sunshine state. Townsville is a long way from Ipswich, but QLD'ers are a different bunch.

A Murray Taulagi/Ronaldo Mulitalo wing combination is a scary thought.

If things had gone slightly differently, that could have been the QLD wing combo for years, with many to come. The Cowboys have a side capable of doing serious damage in the Finals, but they could do with another weapon out wide.

Holmes is impossible to replace, while Feldt set records while in Cowboys colours. That said, adding the live-wire Sharks winger would ensure a host of tries, and highlights.
