While the State of Origin is the centre piece of the representative round, there are plenty of other great games taking place. A huge number of NRL players will feature in what will be a terrific weekend of football. These are the 10 players to watch in those games.

Andrew Fifita

A big performance from Andrew Fifita is to be expected, given his omission from the New South Wales team. Fifita will look to show Brad Fittler that he is an Origin must pick, by leading the charge for a strong looking Tongan team.

Anthony Milford

Anthony Milford is no doubt stinging after being dropped from the Queensland squad after the first game of the series. Samoa will benefit massively from having Milford at fullback, where he will be dangerous with the ball in hand.

James Graham

A veteran of the English international side, James Graham always represents his country with passion and determination. The Denver match is just another opportunity for Graham to lead his country to a victory with a good game.

Martin Taupau

Martin Taupau will line up for an inexperienced New Zealand side that will look to him to lead the way. If New Zealand are to have any success they will need players like Taupau to play hard and lay a platform for the side.

Te Maire Martin

The Denver international is an excellent opportunity for young New Zealand players to stand up and show the rugby league world their abilities. Te Maire Martin is one such player who will be able to play the way he wants and lead the Kiwis across the park. Martin is a skilled young playmaker and will make the most of this opportunity.

Kevin Naiqama

The 2017 World Cup was one to remember for Fiji and their captain Kevin Naiqama. Naiqama had a big tournament and helped show the rugby league world that Fiji was a serious international side. Expect Naiqama to once again be inspirational for Fiji as they go up against Papua New Guinea.

Sam Burgess

Sam Burgess has been in great form for the Rabbitohs recently and England will expect him to continue his run of good form against New Zealand. Burgess will be a handful for the Kiwis and could do serious damage to their forward pack.

Issac Luke

It has been Issac Luke’s best year in the NRL in a number of seasons and he will go into the Denver international with confidence. With so many rookies in the New Zealand team, Luke must stand up and lead his side to make sure they can defeat England.

Jason Taumalolo

Since declaring his allegiance to Tonga, Jason Taumalolo has shaken up the international game. Tonga are becoming a major contender in international rugby league, and there is no doubt Taumalolo has been a huge part of that, with his continual strong performances. Taumalolo will no doubt lead the way for Tonga once again and pick up a huge amount of metres.

Gareth Widdop

Gareth Widdop has been in exceptional form for the Dragons in 2018 and has created many tries for the Red V. If he performs well against the Kiwis he could take the game away from them and create a multitude of scoring opportunities for England.
