Now over halfway through the 2020 NRL season, we've had some superstar performances from the usual culprits, seen incredible rookies emerge and other players develop.

These are players who have either reached their potential or look like completely different players from their 2018/2019 selves.
Rookies won't be considered, i.e Harry Grant due to not playing NRL last season, while players such as George Williams will also be left out due to the difference in competition.
These are players who have improved dramatically in the past season or two.

7. Junior Paulo
Truthfully, prior to the 2019 season I didn't rate the Eels book end. Sure he was big, explosive and could make metres, but he got tired too quickly in Canberra and would sometimes be a liability in the middle.
Fast forward to 2020 and the 26-year old is right on the edge of Origin contention. His average metres per game in 2020 are up to 170, 30 more per game than last year. His miss tackle count is way down in 2020 proving he has worked on both his defence and most importantly his fitness.
He is two tackle breaks away from his 2019 tally despite playing nine less games.
Everything about Paulo looks complete now. He's matured from a battering ram into one of the game's elite props. Whatever he did in the 2019 off-season has worked wonders.
Seriously?
