Now over halfway through the 2020 NRL season, we've had some superstar performances from the usual culprits, seen incredible rookies emerge and other players develop.
Below is a list of the top 10 NRL improvers of 2020.
These are players who have either reached their potential or look like completely different players from their 2018/2019 selves.
Rookies won't be considered, i.e Harry Grant due to not playing NRL last season, while players such as George Williams will also be left out due to the difference in competition.
These are players who have improved dramatically in the past season or two.
Let us know below if you agree with our list or if we left anyone out.
8. Matt Dufty
From part time player to arguably the club's best attacking weapon. This has been the past 12/18 months 'enjoyed' by the whippet number one for the Red V.
Dufty in 2019 was dropped to reserve grade then all but told to go to the Titans despite signing a contract extension. His Dragons career looked over and he relegated to 'what could have been' status.
Fast forward to August 2020 and Dufty has 11 tries, eight try assists and four line breaks in his 11 appearances this season. His partnership with Zac Lomax has kept the Dragons in top eight contention.
2019 is looking like a down year rather than his career trajectory, which for a while looked the case. 2020 Matt Dufty is genuinely a pleasure to watch.
Seriously?
