Top TEN best second-rowers in the NRL
1. Josh Papalii
The Canberra hulk emerged as the undisputed number one prop in the game in 2020. I'd argue he may have already been there earlier, but now there can be no question. He was monstrous in 2020 for both club and state,
Papalii averaged almost 150 metres per game in a dominant forward pack. He also tackled at over 96% proving to be just as deadly in defence. He also broke 44 tackles, had 24 offloads and even chimed in for five tries.
He doesn't have the massive metres of some of those on this list, however he plays his role to perfection. He had 13 missed tackles all season. 13!!! That included a seven game stretch where he didn't miss a tackle.
Papalii is pushing the likes of Taumalolo as the best middle forward in the game. Incredible!
Paulo the 9th best prop?
Get a clue.
The Parramatta pair got a number one ranking for 2020, in another sites article mreel. So you’d be happy with that, being as biased as you are.
However, each club has 4 plus props in their top squads & there are 16 clubs. So number 9 is pretty good.
Paulo got a 6/ 10 rating in origin 3.
Parramatta failed to make the Grand Final yet again.
Number 9 may be a little light on? Still pretty close to the Mark.
By the way mreel…
2022, looks pretty bleak on the wings , for your eels. No Ferguson. No Sivo, if they don’t pay his contract upgrade.
The ‘Riff’ as you like to say. To’o & Staines. Will be Vastly Superior our wide.
Such is Life ! 😥
