The Sydney Roosters have released forward Paul Carter from his playing contract. In a short statement, the club confirmed the release but gave no reason for the action.

Carter was signed by the Roosters in the offseason after previously unsuccessful stints with the Gold Coast Titans and South Sydney Rabbitohs. Carter was sacked by both clubs due to disciplinary reasons.

Carter played three games for the Sydney Roosters this season.

The Sydney Roosters have today announced that Paul Carter has been released from the remainder of his playing contract with immediate effect.

The Club wishes Paul all the best in the future and will not be making any further comment regarding this matter.
