Melbourne Storm medical staff have deemed skipper Cameron Smith fit to play this weekend despite irritating a tendon in his toe.
The Storm released the following statement on their club website earlier today.
"Cameron Smith has pulled up very well since Friday night's game against the Rabbitohs and the medical staff expect him to line up against Cronulla Sharks in Sunday's blockbuster match at AAMI Park," the statement reads.
Smith didn't require any scans and instead received treatment over the weekend for a tendon irritation of his big toe.
Smith will return to training on Tuesday with his teammates as they prepare for the showdown with the Sharks.
