Canterbury Bulldogs skipper Stephen Crichton is set to be unavailable for next weekend as he faces a suspension for a Careless High Tackle on Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.
The Match Review Committee (MRC) has charged Crichton with a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle and imposed a one-match suspension if he accepts an early guilty plea.
Crichton knocked out Tuivasa-Sheck with a no-arms high tackle, which saw the Warriors centre's night come to an end after he was ruled out for failing his HIA.
If he contests the charge and is found guilty by the judiciary, his suspension will be increased to two matches, and he will be unavailable for the club's final two matches of the season against the Manly Sea Eagles and North Queensland Cowboys.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Liam Kennedy - the Bunker official who decided not to send Crichton to the sin-bin - is set to be stood down by the NRL, with both Andrew Abdo and Graeme Annesley unhappy that he wasn't sent from the field.
It is understood that referee Wyatt Raymond also may not be off the hook for his role in the decision.

New Zealand Warriors duo Addin Fonua-Blake and Jazz Tevage were also charged from the match and are facing fines of $1000-1500 for Dangerous Contact on Connor Tracey and Samuel Hughes, respectively.
In the other match on Friday night between the Brisbane Broncos and Parramatta Eels, Brendan Piakura and Reagan Campbell-Gillard have been charged with a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact but only face fines.
