Billy Slater has made a successful return for the Melbourne Storm but the news isn't so good for Cameron Munster with the utility suffering a suspected broken jaw.
Munster was forced from the field in the 60th minute after a nasty head clash with Broncos winger Corey Oates.
Cameron Munster off for HIA. Will also be checking for fractured jaw #NRLStormBroncos

For Cameron Munster, worst case if jaw badly broken enough: surgery and 10-12wks. But majority fall in 4-6wks #NRLStormBroncos

If Munster does have a broken jaw, the return of Billy Slater could not have been betterย timed.
Munster had been tipped to play five-eighth for the Storm in 2017 but had spent the opening rounds at fullback covering for Slater with new recruit Ryley Jacks playing the five-eighth role.
A stint on the sidelines for Munster would seeย Jacks stay in the No. 6 jerseyย for now.
