Parramatta Eels winger Semiย Radradra has spoken about his desire to return to the club in the future, possibly as soon as next year.
Radradra will bid au revoir to the NRL at the end of this season after agreeing to a deal to join French rugby union club Toulon.
But he might soon be back, with the star winger confirming that if there is an opportunity for him to return to the NRL and in particular the Eels in the future, he would welcome it.
The French Top 14 rugby season finishes in June, which would allow Radradra to rejoin Parramatta before the June 30 deadline in 2018.
โI just try to play good footy in the next couple of months now. I want to play Finals before I leave for France,โ Radradra said.
โI would love to come back. I call this Club my home too. If there is a door open for me next year, I will come back.โ
โThe manager has been doing a lot of work, talking to the Club, but I will see after that.โ
โI will miss playing rugby league. I grew up as a rugby union player, but I havenโt been playing for six years now. But for sure I will miss rugby league and I will be happy to come back if the door is open for me.โ Radradra added.
โIt was a pretty tough decision. I signed that contract because of whatever happened in the past, and if that didnโt happen, I would have been happy to sign here and stay a couple more years at Parra. It forced me to sign that contract, and give me time to clear my mind as well, try something different and come back.โ
