Predicted Finish: 2nd

Actual Finish: 2nd

Every season I predict that the Storm are going to fall. This year I learned my lesson and was, for once, spot on. Cameron Smith is ageless, Cam Munster is elite while their young fullback emerged as a genuine superstar in 2020. This was perhaps their best win yet.

4. Season Grading

 A+

This Storm team are like no other. Over the past few seasons they have lost an incredible amount of talent yet always seem to find a way to get it done.

If this is indeed Cameron Smith's last go round, what a way for the champion number nine to exit the game. His first-half performance was so good that some sports agencies paid out on him as man of the match.

Jahrome Hughes saw his stocks rise beyond belief in 2020. He's now one of the game's best halves, whereas his position was under serious threat as previously as last season.

Craig Bellamy's ability to pluck fringe reserve graders and turn them into stars was again on show as Brenko Lee went from QLD Cup to the Queensland Origin side.

I could wrap this side literally all afternoon, they are that good. Storm fans will never get sick of hearing it but boy do they make it difficult for the rest of us.

Another A+ season for the masters.

  1. As much as Penrith may have been given in the second of the grand final. The Storm were given every decision their way in the first half. To make sure that they won. Sure, there were some glaring mistakes that Penrith made themselves in the first half.
Why did the Storm have to get all the first half decisions their way to make sure they won? Who knows ? Ask the NRL that one .
