SEA EAGLES
V
KNIGHTS
Preview
The Sea Eagles enter Friday night full of confidence after securing a golden-point victory over Canberra last week thanks to some brilliance from Dylan Walker and Daly Cherry-Evans.
They'll come up against the Knights who were humbled last week down in Melbourne and will need to go back to the drawing board in order to spring an upset this week.
While the Sea Eagles did get the win last week they let the Raiders back into the contest after leading 20-6 at one point, something that coach Trent Barrett will want to get out of their game. Jorge Taufua will miss the remainder of 2017 with an ACL injury as Jonathan Wright comes in to replace him on the wing.
Star fullback Tom Trbojevic has been named in the reserves and could make an early return from leg injuries.
Cherry-Evans will look to continue his good patch of form, as will big man Martin Taupau, who was unstoppable last week. His matchup against Daniel Saifiti will be an exciting one, with the Knights prop one of the most in-form in the league.
Queenslander Dane Gagai is relishing his time at the back of the field and is another player in a rich vein of form in 2017.
The Knights will be up against it once again, however, Manly's 2-5 home record may give the Knights a glimmer of hope.
The Sea Eagles are the shortest favourites of the round and rightly so, with the Knights giving up a league-worst 27.5 points per game.
