Sandor Earl is set to make a sensational rugby league comeback, after four years out of the game.
Earl has agreed to join the Melbourne Storm on a one-year deal for 2018, ending talks with Canberra and Eels to play for the premiers.
After Earl was axed from the NRL in 2013, after an ASADA investigation, he's been working toward an opportunity with an NRL club. Owning F45 gyms, Earl has built his body up to match the physicality of the game today.
An official announcement is expected from the Melbourne Storm this week.
The former Raider announced he's beginning a new chapter in his life on Facebook.
"A new club opens the door to a group that will become family and brothers. I walk in a new man armed with a fresh perspective full of new goals and an extremely positive outlook on the future," Earl wrote.
"I have overcome adversity and ultimately that will set me up for the greatest success."
Born in New Zealand, Earl made his first-grade debut for the Roosters in 2009, before heading over to the foot of the mountain in Penrith. He then joined the Raiders in 2012, before being handed a ban which saw him ruled out the game for four years.
