Warriors forward Ryan Hoffman is set to become just the 27th player to notch 300 NRL games when he takes the field for the New Zealand club on Saturday against the Gold Coast.
Hoffman played 245 games for the Melbourne Storm and has so far played 54 games for the Warriors.
Hoffman should have already cracked the 300 club but the veteran forward spent 2011 in the English Super League following the Melbourne Storm salary cap scandal before returning to the Melbourne club in 2012.
Brisbane great Darren Lockyer has played the most NRL games in history, with a 355-game career spanning 17 seasons between 1995-2011.
The fullback turned five-eighth may not hold that place at the top of the list for long, as Melbourne skipper Cameron Smith is bearing down on him.
If Smith can stay uninjured, he could eclipse Lockyer’s record this season.
