Round 3 of the NRL season played out similarly to Round 2 in terms of tipping at Superbru, as the average player managed to tip just over half of the eight outcomes correctly.
The only result considered a ‘major upset’ came at ANZ Stadium as Canterbury managed their first win of the season against Penrith. 17% tipped the Bulldogs to win that one, with the second strongest upset being the Rabbitohs’ 34-6 victory over Manly.
Penrith faces an uphill battle to get back on track this week according to predictions made at Superbru so far as they face the Cowboys away. Here is some insight into that fixture’s tips as well as all others in Round Four of NRL.

Just 24% of players have tipped the Panthers to win this one at Superbru so far, with the average exact pick being the Cowboys by 5.
Despite being the team that handed Penrith that shock loss, just 23% of players are tipping a Bulldogs win against the Rabbitohs this week.
As predicted by most, the Storm did indeed pick up a win last week as they beat the Cowboys by 16. With 86% tipping them to follow that result up with another victory, this time over the Sharks, this looks to be one of the most unevenly balanced matches of the round at Superbru.
They may be unbeaten so far this season, but a minority of 37% have tipped the Warriors so far. The Roosters have of course managed two large margin victories since their opening day defeat against the Tigers making them an understandable favourite here.
Those consistently backing Manly to win games have been let down twice already this season but there is a strong majority backing the Sea Eagles this week as they take on the Raiders who have lost all three games so far. 78% of players have tipped the Sea Eagles.
Not the strongest majority of Round Four as things stand (that’s coming next), but there are a whopping 92% of players tipping the Dragons to beat the Knights in Sydney on Sunday.
According to Superbru, the Titans don’t have a prayer here. Just 5% are backing the away side with the average exact tip standing at Broncos by 10.
Finally, despite that narrow loss to the Broncos in Round Three, 87% of players have tipped Wests Tigers to defeat the Eels who are yet to win a game in the 2018 campaign.
