Canterbury Bulldogs v St George Illawarra Dragons

Monday Afternoon, ANZ Stadium

Queens Birthday brings about a Monday afternoon fixture as the Dogs, reeling off a 38-0 loss last week come up against the Dragons, the story of season 2017 so far.

Des Hasler's side has a host of big-name inclusions, including Josh Reynolds, Brett Morris, James Graham and Chase Stanley as they look to overturn a month of four straight losses.

The Dragons, meanwhile, scored an impressive win last week of the Tigers in Gareth Widdop's return and will look to take advantage of a beaten down Bulldogs side.

The Bulldogs have had a tough month, but such is the competition that a loss for the side would all but end their season.

Can they muster up enough points to trouble a St George defence that has been sturdy all year long? Their inclusions this week will help their cause but it's hard to see them troubling a side that has silenced their doubters all season.

Josh Dugan, Kurt Mann and Jason Nightingale are in excellent form at the back while Paul Vaughan, Tyson Frizell and Jack de Belin carry the load up front in an imposing front line.

The Bulldogs have been given a sniff with the bookies, but they'll need all the cards to fold their way if they're to bounce back this week.

Dragons by 8.
