ROOSTERS

EELS
Preview
The Roosters and the Eels close out what should be a bumper round of rugby league action.
Let's hope the recent acts of off-fieldย indiscretion end here with theย Roosters Shaun Kenny-Dowall stood down indefinitely this week as youngster Latrell Mitchell earns his spot back in the 17.
The Roosters will be looking to get back on the winners lastย after Mitchell Pearce's second field goal in as many weeks wasn't enough to overcome Shaun Johnson's last-gasp penalty which saw the tricolours go down by a point.
The Eels produced a convincing 20-point win over the Cowboys and will look to build on that momentum as they go in search of a fourth successive victory. They remain unchanged from their side two weeks ago, with Bevan French still biding his time to prove his fitness.
Clinton Gutherson is in top notch form, as is Corey Norman and this will give them plenty of hope as they go in as the underdogs.
The Roosters can ill-afford to drop a game like this as there are a host of teams hot on their heels as we inch closer to the origin period.
We'll back the Roosters to get the points, but the Eels are worth a look.
Another Pearce field goal, anyone?
Roosters by 1.
