Queensland will name their State of Origin Game I squad on Monday, with Kevin Walters set to name a 21-man list that could include four debutants.

Walters will also select Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans, despite the playmaker missing the past month with an injury.

Moses Mbye will be named as well according to foxsports.com.au, even though he missed round 11.

Michael Morgan will be named in the centres with Kalyn Ponga at fullback, with Cameron Munster to pair Daly Cherry-Evans in the halves.

In the absence of Andrew McCullough, Ben Hunt is tipped to take over the No.9 jersey.

Brisbane duo David Fifita and Joe Ofahengaue will be apart of the squad, as they look to make their Origin debuts.

  2. Wow.
I hope that isn’t the side.
If we go in with Cleary as our halfback we may as well just forfeit the game.
Looking at that side though, there are a few players there that I don’t see getting a call up.
Wighton, Matterson, Sims, Cotric, Morris and Toupou would all be last resort players if there weren’t any better options.

    • Got a feeling it would have been Reynolds had he not picked up that injury. Guess Fittler is going for experience? With Reynolds Keary and Pearce all unavailable, would have been down to Moses, Brooks and Cleary I imagine, with Maloney being overlooked.
