Out-of-contract Maroons winger Corey Oates is set to sign a new three-year deal with the Brisbane Broncos.
Oates has played 132 NRL matches and 89 tries since joining the Broncos in 2013, with The Courier Mail's Peter Badel confirming the 24-year-old has signed a new multi-year deal at Suncorp Stadium.
โCorey Oates is staying at the Broncos,โ Badel said.
โLast year, he waited nine months to sort out his future. He only signed a one-year deal in October.
โNow, heโs looking at a multi-year deal.
โBrisbane have tabled a three-year offer worth $500,000 a season. A $1.5 million package.
โThat will be enough to keep Corey Oates at Red Hill.
โHe doesnโt want to leave Brisbane. The Broncos donโt want to lose him and I think youโll find at the end of this Origin series he will re-sign with the Broncos.โ
I like this guy – always gives 100%
A few errors now & again, but a good re-signing for the Broncos.
When heโs on heโs on but when heโs off boy oh boy is he off!!! Canโt catch a cold sometimes old Corey
