The Broncos are confident off retaining rising star David Fifita, according to The Courier Mail.
Off-contract at the end of 2020, the 19-year old is free to sign with rival clubs from Friday.
A number of NRL suitors are set to come calling with big-money offers, including the Warriors, Roosters and Rabbitohs.
But Brisbane are optimistic that Fifita will remain at Red Hill even if it means he gets paid less than a million a year.
It's a decision that Fifita has said he will involve his family with.
“I just worry about my footy and whatever my mum wants I will do because she is the one who has always been there and seen everything,” Fifita said last week.
“She will make the call – and she will make the right one for me. She will be the one that probably would make my decision. She does everything for me and whatever she says goes.”
Retaining Fifita would give the Broncos one of the strongest engine rooms in the league, with stars such as Payne Haas, Tevita Pangai Jr, Joe Ofahengaue and Matt Lodge.
