South Sydney pair Cameron Murray and Liam Knight have both been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee following their clash with Manly.

Murray was charged with a Grade 1 dangerous contact head/neck charge, but can escape punishment with an early guilty plea, that would see him carry a charge of 75 points.

Knight isn't as lucky after being hit with a Grade 2 dangerous contact - other charge, and will miss two matches due to a prior offence from earlier this season which will keep his early guilty plea at 200 points.

Knight could contest the charge, but faces a three-game ban if he loses.

  1. Iโ€™m more concerned about our rooster Hargraeves after his repeat Ponga act against the Cowboys.
I was hoping after the suspension he would put that play away but obviously hasnโ€™t.
    Not looking good.

  2. Whats happened to the cleanskin Murray? I understand Liam Knight being classified as a dirty grub type player but his presence at Souths is rubbing off onto the young players now.

  3. Why werenโ€™t either of them sent to the bin like the knights player was? Inconsistent refereeing yet again.
