South Sydney Rabbitohs star Greg Inglis has been questioned by Queensland legend Billy Moore on his time left in the game.
Inglis' body seems to be giving up on him, according to Moore, who believes the toll rugby league has taken is starting to affect his ability to play at the highest level.
"He is iconic, but I've just got the feeling that maybe we are seeing that the body is saying we are almost at the end of the road," Moore toldย Fox Sports' NRL 360.
"He's come back, but he seems to have struggled all the way from the beginning of the year."
Inglis has played 263 games since making his debut for Storm back in 2005.
During that time, he's managed to play 32 gruesome State of Origin games and 39 tests for Australia, which looks like it has taken its toll, according to Paul Kent.
"Let's remember he is 32 now and he began playing at 17 or 18," Kent said.
"He came in early and he was playing top flight football when most other men his age were in junior grades."
Suffering knee and shoulder issues, Inglis won't be allowed to play by Coach Wayne Bennett if he requires pain killing injections, writes Fox Sports.
Despite the naysayers, Penrith legend Greg Alexander believes Inglis has the ability to allow himself to keep playing rugby league if he desires..
"I don't know if he has been in this sort of position exactly before, but he has been down before," Alexander said.
"And when he has been down he has been able to lift himself and get himself back.
"The Origin series last year he was down and he lifted himself back up."
