Cronulla Sharks captain Paul Gallen is set to notch 300 NRL games on Friday night when he takes the field for the Sharks tonight against the Broncos.
Since making his debut way back in 2001 as a 19-year-old kid, Gallen has played all of his 299 NRL matches for the club from the Shire.
He will become just the 29th player to play 300 NRL games and the third Cronulla player this season after Chris Heighington and Luke Lewis.
Warriors forward Ryan Hoffman also reached the 300 game milestone earlier this season, while North Queensland Cowboys halfback Johnathan Thurston is currently stranded on 299 after suffering a season ending injury.
Gallen has re-signed with Cronulla for 2018 and will look to add to his NRL games tally next season.
