Gold Coast Titans workhorse Jai Arrow remains in good spirits despite leaving CBUS Super Stadium on crutches following the Titans' narrow loss to the Warriors on Friday night.

The Queensland star, who was a certainty for selection for next Sunday's Origin showdown in Perth, got caught up in an awkward tackle that caused his left leg to buckle under the body of Warriors forward Tohu Harris.

Whilst scans on Saturday will reveal the seriousness of the injury, Arrow remains confident he will be able to get himself ready for the second game of the series.

"I got caught in an awkward position but the pain isn't too bad at the moment," Arrow told Fox League after the game.

"At first it was tingling a little bit but then the pain started going away, it's just on the side there"

"I'm not too worried. Injuries come with football and you've just got to put up with it. I'll do everything I can to hopefully get myself right"

"I'll go get scans tomorrow and hopefully the extent isn't too bad. If I get picked for Origin I'm not going to go out 50 or 60 per cent"

The injury sent shockwaves through the stadium, particularly in the commentary box where Queensland coach Kevin Walters was calling the game for Fox League. Like Arrow, Walters was confident his hard-hitting backrower would be okay.

Arrow's club coach Garth Brennan was not so positive post-game.

"Jai's got the syndesmosis injury that seems to be the thing these days with ankles" Brennan said.

"I'm not a doctor but I wouldn't be booking his flight (to Perth)"

Queensland will select their side at 6pm on Sunday before going into camp to prepare to reclaim the State of Origin shield at Optus Stadium in Perth on June 23rd.
