Canterbury are the latest club keeping tabs on dropped Knights centre Jesse Ramien, joining both the Roosters and the Cowboys for the in-demand speedster.

Bulldogs representatives have met with the talented centre and his manager on Thursday in hopes of adding Ramien to their centre stocks, according to Wide World of Sports.

Ramien has been highly sought after since parting ways with Newcastle last week, but won't be able to play in the league until next year as the deadline for signing players for this season was June 30.

Whilst the Bulldogs will have the money to spend on the exciting centre, both big-spenders Sydney and North Queensland will plan to land his signature.

Ramien became frustrated with the Knights with a majority of the teams game style favouring star Kalyn Ponga on the left side while Ramien felt stranded playing on the right.

A move to Canterbury may just suit the 22-year-old, with the Bulldogs struggling to impact the scoreboard this season.

Ramien is also believed to be tempted by a short-term deal with a Super League side in the UK, as the deadline for signing players for the current season is this week.
