Mitchell Moses asks for immediate release to join Eels

Mitchell Moses has knocked back a huge offer to remain with the Wests Tigers and is asking for an immediate release to join the Parramatta Eels.

Fox Sports is reporting that the Parramatta Eels feel like they're guaranteed to get Moses for 2018 and beyond but are hoping to secure him this season to partner Corey Norman in the halves.

The Wests Tigers have offered the young half a massive $3 million deal but according to Fox Sports journalist James Hooper, Moses is not making the decision based on money but has been convinced that moving to Parramatta is the best thing for his career.

If Moses is granted a release, he could line up for the Eels against the Wests Tigers almost immediately as the two clubs play on the Easter Monday at ANZ stadium.

Landing Moses, either this year or next would likely knock the Eels out of the Cooper Cronk sweepstakes, although many believe Cronk is no certainty of playing on in 2018 anyway.
