The Sydney Roosters have announced that Michael Gordon has signed a one-year extension with the club for season 2018.

33-year-old Gordon, a veteran of 219 NRL matches to date, was thrilled to extend his time with the Foundation Club.

“Since day one, everyone at the Roosters has made me and my family feel welcome and at home, so that’s a big reason I’m pleased to be extending my time here,” said Gordon.

“From a footy perspective, I still feel like the body is really good and I've got something to offer. I’m enjoying my footy and being part of the team here at the Roosters,” he added.

Roosters Head Coach, Trent Robinson, was pleased to have Gordon locked into the Club’s plans for 2018.

“Michael’s class and experience has been a welcome addition to our squad this year,” said Robinson.

“Michael has brought a selflessness to the group, and consistently makes an integral contribution to our side. Aside from his on-field role, Michael is also a very good man, and its great news for our Club to have him locked into our plans for next season,” he added.
