The Sydney Roosters have announced that Michael Gordon has signed a one-year extension with the club for season 2018.

33-year-old Gordon, a veteran of 219 NRL matches to date, was thrilled to extend his time with the Foundation Club.

โ€œSince day one, everyone at the Roosters has made me and my family feel welcome and at home, so thatโ€™s a big reason Iโ€™m pleased to be extending my time here,โ€ said Gordon.

โ€œFrom a footy perspective, I still feel like the body is really good and I've got something to offer. Iโ€™m enjoying my footy and being part of the team here at the Roosters,โ€ he added.

Roosters Head Coach, Trent Robinson, was pleased to have Gordon locked into the Clubโ€™s plans for 2018.

โ€œMichaelโ€™s class and experience has been a welcome addition to our squad this year,โ€ said Robinson.

โ€œMichael has brought a selflessness to the group, and consistently makes an integral contribution to our side. Aside from his on-field role, Michael is also a very good man, and its great news for our Club to have him locked into our plans for next season,โ€ he added.
