Brisbane Broncos forward Matt Gillett is set to be sidelined for the next three months due to a fractured neck.
Remarkably, Gillett suffered the injury in Round 1 and has been playing with three fractured vertebrae in his spine.
The injury doesn't require surgery but Gillet will likely miss the entire State of Origin series while he recovers.
Reports now that Matt Gillett visited a specialist today & it was discovered he has 3 fractured vertebrae in his spine. Estimates of 8-12 weeks on the sideline. Many different types of vertebral fracture, good news majority heal well with no surgery, no long term issues.
