Benji Marshall says the Tigers finals bid is his priority while fans wait with bated breath to see if the club legend will return for the 2020 NRL season.

"I sort of wanted to wait and let the focus be about making the semis first," Marshall told the club website.

"Theyโ€™re [the club] harassing me a bit. Well, everyone is, but I just don't want to make the wrong decision.

Marshall is continuing to keep his cards close to his chest and says heโ€™s, "just getting a bit of trust back in the body that I probably haven't had in a few years. I'm feeling good.โ€

Marshall was integral in the Westsโ€™ forty-two-point drubbing of the Knights on Saturday night, clocking up five try assists and forcing two drop outs.

The Tigers currently sit in ninth place, one point out of the finals with two weeks of the regular season remaining.

The final two weeks should [provide Marshall and the Tigers the opportunity to join the eight, facing off against Marshallโ€™s former side, the fifteenth placed Dragons this weekend.ย  In the final round of the season, the team is set to head to Cronulla to face off with the Sharks, who are currently in seventh place, two points ahead of the Tigers.

Should they fail to qualify, surely Marshall will let the world know his decision.ย  Should they progress, the waiting game could continue.
