Veteran Wests Tigers duo Benji Marshall and Robbie Farah are yet to receive a clear picture of their future in the NRL as Wests Tigers delay negotiations.
Tigers senior coach Michael Maguire appeared on NRL360 and discussed the matter of whether Farah (35) and Marshall (34) will continue with the club beyond the 2019 season.
"We'll probably have that conversation over the next month," Maguire told the Fox League panel Monday night.
"They're still running around like little kids and enjoying what they're doing and they turn up to training and rip in."
Marshall, who has played 298 career games and eight this season, has overcome a number of career-threatening injuries and is in the midst of his second stint at the club after helping the Tigers to the 2005 premiership in his 11-year tenure from 2003-13.
Longtime teammate and fellow 2005 trophy winner Farah sits on 296, having been ever-present for the Tigers in 2019 and is also enjoying his second time around after a two-year stay with the Rabbitohs, before which he captained his current club for seven years.
Maguire has expressed a sentimental desire to see the pair continue their careers at Bankwest Stadium but admits that owing to their age, nothing is guaranteed as yet.
"Look, to see those boys go round again would be great - they've been fantastic.
"But there will also come a time when things are moving and the lists are changing but I'm going to have open, honest conversations with those boys because they've been a big part of this club," Maguire added.
