The Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles are considering throwing NRL bad boy Kenny Edwards a lifeline for next season, according to WWOS.
There's no doubt Edwards is a player with natural talent and ability, but he has been plagued by off-field incidents which has landed him in hot water over recent years.
The 29 year-old began his first grade career at the Sea Eagles under coach Des Hasler in 2008, but was later sacked during the same season.
The Parramatta Eels then picked up the second-rower, where Edwards played some of his best football, but again was released from his contract after a series of wrongdoings.
Edwards later made the move overseas in pursuit of playing league again, signing with French club The Catalans Dragons.
Edwards he still has some good footy left in him and would be a valuable addition to Manly, if he has cleaned up his act off the field
With Manly losing experienced forwards in Lewis Brown, Shaun Lane and Darcy Lussick, and the future of Marty Taupau remains up in the air, Hasler believes Edwards could be the man to bring some much needed experience to the team.
However, the NRL Integrity Unit might need to clear Edwards to play in the NRL again due to his long list of indiscretions.
