St George Illawarra has confirmed Tim Lafai will miss the next six weeks of action.

It was determined that the Dragons' centre suffered a syndesmosis injury, however, a time frame on his return was not set.

Follow up scans and specialist consultations were used to settle on an approximate return date of six weeks.

In other injury news, James Graham has been ruled out for two months with a fibula fracture.

  1. Hardly a worry
    1. Dufty
    2. Rawalawa/Pearson
    3. Aiken
    4. Lomax
    5. Perreira

This is the backline Iโ€™ve wanted all along, since Widdop went down injured

  2. Out of the Dragons back 5 in other words 1 – 5 Lafai has been our most consistent player. Until Lafai returns the best line up would be –
    1. Field
    2. Perreira
    3. Aiken
    4. Lomax
    5. Pearson
Dufty has to learn to try and tackle because he is the last line of defense.

  3. MB113 (Iโ€™d say the other bloke too but his nameโ€™s too long) is probably right about likely backline but really, is Lafai much of a loss? Hardly.
A pity we havenโ€™t got Herbert and Garrick as backups.

  4. 38er Well I suppose Lafai is not a big loss, it just goes to show you how bad our backline is in reality. We loose all our good reserves like Herbert and Garrick because our dumb clueless coach never gave them a chance to play 1st Grade. Look how well Reece Robson played against Cronulla when he came on, we will also loose him next year too.

  5. I think I heard that Robson has gone to the cowboys but Iโ€™m not sure. A big loss if itโ€™s true, heโ€™s got big wraps on him.
It would be interesting to know exactly why Garrick and Herbert left. If itโ€™s because theyโ€™re unlikely to play much 1st grade at Saints itโ€™s understandable (a bit like circa 2007-2008 when Whare, Linnett and Josh Morris as centres were stuck behind Cooper and Gasnier and unlikely to play much 1st grade) but if itโ€™s because of salary cap pressure, well, we just donโ€™t do it as well as Uncle Nick. If we just didnโ€™t rate them, itโ€™s a stuff up – something that Saints management excels at. When it comes to the conspiracy versus the stuff-up I go for the stuff every time. So – good one Saints, youโ€™ve done if again.
