Around the time of ex-Panthers coach Anthony Griffin's sacking, Sharks hookerย James Segeyaro posted a savage tweet on his Twitter account.

โ€œKarma is a b**ch funny when it catches up to you! Respect everyone that you encounter โ€ Segeyaro's tweet reads.

Segeyaro, who used to play under Griffin at Penrith, fell out of favour with his coach in 2016 and was dropped to the reserves, playing just four first-grade matches that season.

The 27-year old has since claimed the timing of the post was a coincidence and had nothing to do with his former coach, stating it was based off something he saw while "down at the shops."

Butย Segeyaro has admitted that he, along with many others at the club, did not get along with Griffin.

โ€œMe and him didnโ€™t get along and most people didnโ€™t,โ€ Segeyaro toldย The Sydney Morning Herald.

โ€œSome people donโ€™t get along with me, but thatโ€™s my opinion on him. Whatever has happened has happened but thereโ€™s no love lost there.

โ€œIt is what it is.โ€

Segeyaro believes a lot of his teammates were also not aligned with Griffin, a revelation that should not come as a shock to the system.

โ€œPersonally, heโ€™s the coach and how you want to take that [criticism] on is up to him,โ€ Segeyaro added.

โ€œA lot of players have come out and said what they said.

โ€œThereโ€™s a reason for why he has been moved on, I believe. The Panthers board decided to look another way. Good luck to 'Hook' with whatever he does in the future, but me and him didnโ€™t get along.

โ€œA lot of players and coaches donโ€™t, it wonโ€™t be the first or last time.โ€

Quizzed about how Griffin manages his players,ย Segeyaro was frank, stating: โ€œIโ€™m not a psychiatrist or a behaviourย coach, Iโ€™m in no position to have an opinion on that.

โ€œIโ€™m probably the worst person to ask how people should be treated. I try to treat people as an equal to the best of my ability so I havenโ€™t got a comment on that.โ€
