Eels newcomer Kane Evans has been accused of a racial slur while playing for Parramatta's feeder club, Wentworthville, on Saturday.
The alleged incident occurred during the team's 36-6 loss to the Warriors in the Intrust Super Premiership NSW at ANZ Stadium, which was a curtain raiser for the Parramatta/Newcastle clash.
Since crossing over from the Roosters this season, Evans has made four NRL appearances for the Eels this season.
Warriors second-rower Joseph Vuna made the complaint to referee Todd Smith, who subsequently placed Evans on report. Because the incident occurred in the Intrust Super Premiership, it will be dealt with by the NSWRL, not the NRL.
