Melbourne has made four changes to their squad ahead of the June 30 deadline, with three players joining the club, and one departing.

The Storm has signed Solomone Kata and Max King while promoting Harry Grant to their top 30 squad, and have released Scott Drinkwater to sign with North Queensland.

Both Kata and King will join the side this week, signing until the end of the 2020 season.

"We are delighted to be able to sign two players of Solomone and Max’s calibre and thank the Warriors and Titans for allowing them to join us before the June 30 deadline," Storm General Manager – Football Frank Ponissi told the club's website.

"We’re also very pleased to promote the Intrust Super Cup’s best player of the past two seasons, Harry Grant, to our top 30 squad.

"Harry has been part of our system for some time and his NRL contract is a great reward for the dedication he has put into improving his game.

Drinkwater moves to the Cowboys on a two-and-a-half year deal, with the 22-year-old making his debut for the Storm last season, before injuring himself ahead of round one earlier this year.

“We were always looking to fill the last spot in our squad with somebody we thought could add significant value,” Cowboys Director of Football Peter Parr told cowboys.com.au.

“Scott is a highly accomplished player and has the ability to play multiple positions, which led us to believe he would be an ideal signing for us at this stage of the year.”
