The NRL has confirmed Manase Fainu will be the subject of the No-Fault Stand Down rule, should he be granted bail.

Fainu is currently in jail after he was denied bail by a magistrate, and will need to face court again after it was alleged he stabbed a man during an altercation on Friday night.

The NRL has released the following statement surrounding the Fainu incident.

The National Rugby League has today advised the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles that Manase Fainu will be subject to the No-Fault Stand Down rule should he be granted bail prior to the completion of court proceedings.

Fainu was today charged with the offences of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, affray and reckless grievous bodily harm in company and has been denied bail. He will automatically be stood down from all matches, including the Club Nines and the NRL Premiership, on a no-fault basis until court proceedings are completed.
