Newcastle have extended the future of centre Sione Mata'utia, re-signing the 22-year-old on a three-year deal.
The contract extension will see Mata'utia remain a Knight until at least the end of the 2021 season.
"As a Club, we're thrilled Sione has committed his future to the Knights," Newcastle's General Manager Football, Darren Mooney told newcastleknights.com.au.
"What's also pleasing is the fact Sione never wanted to leave. He's a talented footballer and we believe his best is still to come.
"He started his career on the wing, moved into the backrow and now finds himself in the centres, such is his adaptability.
"What the future holds, we don't know but Sione has the character and commitment to tackle whatever challenge is thrown his way.
"He's shown himself to be a very valuable member of our team, not only for what he contributes on the field but also what he brings off it."
Mata'utia has played 82 games for the Knights since making his debut in round 20, 2014, and has scored 23 tries for Newcastle.
He's also played three games for Australia, and became their youngest ever Test player when he debuted at 18 years and 129 days old back in 2014.
"I'm really excited and also very proud to re-sign with the Club," Mata'utia told the club's website.
"The Knights are much more than a team, they are my family.
"It was an easy decision to stay. Everyone can see we are building something very special in Newcastle and I can't wait for the Club to continue to grow. I'm glad I get to keep riding the wave."
