Rugby league immortal Andrew Johns says the Broncos should buy Canberra Raiders halfback Aidan Sezer.

Brisbane are reeling from a catastrophic 58-0 elimination final loss to Parramatta, amid reports that six players were at the pub until 11pm the night before the game.

It has raised questions of the club's culture and the futures of several senior players are uncertain.

Sezer could face competition in his position at Canberra next season with George Williams coming in.

Speaking on Nine's Wide World of Sports, Johns believes Sezer would be an ideal pick up for the Broncos as a proven playmaker.

"George Williams is going there next year, the English halfback," Johns said on Freddy and the Eighth.

"If Brisbane have any nous, they'd be buying Aidan Sezer tomorrow."

Blues Origin coach Brad Fittler agreed with Johns' comments, speaking highly of Sezer having previously coached him.

"I've had a chance to coach Aidan a couple of times and I've always been a big fan of Aidan's," Fittler said.

"He seems to have that demeanour that he's composed and nothing seems to fluster him much. I think it's finally come out.

"He's got a good footy team, he seems to be really motivated. His defence is in order. If you're a halfback or a half, the first thing you want to do is get your head into the defence and the rest will come. He's got a really nice kicking game."

The Broncos would require the Raiders to grant Sezer an early release, who is contracted for next season.
