Broncos utility Jack Bird is set to remain at the club despite seeking opportunities elsewhere.
The 24-year old's future has been up in the air after testing his value on the open market, with Brisbane looking to ease salary cap pressure.
He has played just 17 games at Red Hill over the last two seasons since crossing from Cronulla, getting hampered by injuries.
Bird's manager Chris Orr said discussions with other clubs haven't gone anywhere.
“There has been no meaningful discussions or sit-downs with other clubs,” Orr told The Courier Mail.
“If an offer does come along that Jack likes then we will consider that.
“At this stage, Jack will be at the Broncos for next year.
“From all reports coming out of the Broncos, Jack is training the house down to be fit and ready for 2020.”
It was reported by The Courier Mail earlier this month that St George Illawarra and the Bulldogs were interested in signing the former Origin star.
Broncos legend and recruitment-and-retention committee member Darren Lockyer told The Courier Mail last month that Bird can return to the first-grade team next season.
“The 2020 season is a big year for Jack,” Lockyer said.
“It is not his fault, he’s had some injuries and he hasn’t been able to stay on the footy field which is a shame.
“He was playing decent footy this year before his knee injury so maybe he can fight his way back if he stays around.”
