Manly coach Des Hasler has provided an update on injured star Tom Trbojevic.
The Sea Eagles fell to the Wests Tigers 20-6 in their season opener on Saturday at Leichhardt Oval.
Hasler revealed that the club would have to get by without their gun fullback for the first month of the season.
But the Manly mentor had full faith in his team's current lineup as they look ahead to a round two clash with the reigning premiers.
"Realistically, I don't think Tom will be back til round four," Hasler told reporters post-match.
"Even so I thought the people that we had in there tonight were very good.
"It was very good, we had some very good patches from Brendan Elliot, it was very tough for him bringing it out of the corner. Moses Suli was very good for us.
"We'll have to put it behind us and get ready because we're playing a Roosters side at home next week. It's our first game back at Brookvale. I know the players will want to make amends for it.
"We just have to fix a few things and tweak a few things with the attack."
Given the nature of a hamstring injury, Hasler could not confirm a date of when exactly Trbojevic was expected to return.
"Tom's working pretty hard but it's the time of injury you can't afford to rush and damage and re-injure again.
"We certainly won't be doing that at this stage of the season being very early."
Manly host the Roosters next Saturday night at Lottoland.
