Robbie Farah may have played his last game for the Wests Tigers after suffering a knee injury in his side's loss to the Bulldogs on Saturday night.

The 35-year old tried to play through the injury but was shut down midway through the first half.

And while the early prognosis was a potential medial ligament or meniscus injury, Tigers coach Michael Maguire had faith that we had not yet seen the end of Farah.

"We'll wait for a scan, not 100 per cent sure," Maguire told NRL Media post-match.

"[They] seem to think it might just be a medial on the inside of the knee there. Fingers crossed we get a bit of decent news on that.

"I'm sure Robbie will be back. He won't let that finish him. He will get his scans. He was pretty positive in there. He stayed out there but it just got the point where he couldn't keep running."

Farah announced last week that he would retire at the end of the 2019 season.
